Harrington Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.

Rosenstock was considered to be one of the best French watercolourists of his time; the detail, proportion and use of light in this work could not be a better example of why he was, and continues to be, held in such high esteem.
The frame has some minor losses commensurate with age but remains attractive. Two black gallery stamps verso reading 'Tableaux Modernes Leon Gerard Expert 18 Rue Drouot 18, Paris'.

PROVENANCE: Flaxley Abbey, Gloucestershire.
