Glazed windows to the sides, and hinged glazed door to the rear. Sat on the original brass bracket feet. Superb colour and polish to the case. The 8 day double fusse movement with original verge escapement, bell striking on the hour and half hour. Engraved back plate bearing the makers name. The fine quality brass and silvered dial with strike silent to the arch and calendar to the centre. Bears the makers name, Robert Wood, successor to Mr John Taylor. Robert Wood, is recorded as making clocks at Horse Shoe Alley, Moorfields, London 1785 - 1810. Superb quality and condition with a deep shine, fully overhauled movement. Measures 18.5" high x 11" wide x 7.5" deep.
