17th Century Pair of Anglo-irish Portraits

Description

A pair of oils on canvas depicting two brothers, Frederick Hamilton b.1646 and James Hamilton b. 1652 and members of the Hamilton Family of Ireland. (Viscounts Boyne) The portraits are both inscribed on the reverse with the identities of the sitters.

The frames are original with some wear but no losses.

The paintings themselves are in very good condition commensurate with age.

Circa 1680
