Fine 19th Century Silver Plated Meat Dome Elkington

Description

A fine small mid 19th Century silver plated meat dome / dish cover. Made by respected makers Elkington and Co. Bearing a fantastic crowned crest to each side, possibly for a military regiment, and the initial 'W' in script. With a good tight removable handle.

The condition is overall very good but with signs of use. A clean interior but with some marking. A few dings / ripples to the body on one side and some light scratching, but very little to no plate wear.

Overall a beautiful historical piece of metalware, that has probably seen a small about of 'action'.

Total weight approx 1.4kg.
