Jane Short Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
Possibly Italian, it is housed in the original wooden gilt stucco frame. There are a few small losses to the frame but nothing major. The canvas has allover crackling commensurate with age but no paint losses. The colours are still vibrant and the piece is very finely painted
Overall a good, pleasing and authentic religious painting.
