An Antique Edwardian Sterling silver menu/place card holder which has been designed in the form of an owl resting on a plain domed loaded base which has a section at the rear to house the card. The markings on the body are realistic and detailed and the tortoiseshell coloured glass eyes are still in excellent condition. The design of this menu holder is more unusual as the markings of the owl have been nicely finished on either side of the body.
It was hallmarked in Birmingham for 1906 by Sydney & Co and remains in excellent condition.
