Royal Dux porcelain originated in Duchcov, Bohemia, following the establishment of the factory by Eduard Eichler in 1860. The manufactory achieved international acclaim during the Art Nouveau period at the turn of the 20th century for its soft pastel palettes and figural centrepieces.

Royal Dux figures were predominantly crafted using porcelain or earthenware, finished with matte glazes in neutral earthy tones such as green, beige, and soft pink. Gilding and hand-painted detailing were frequently applied prior to final firing.

Authentic pieces produced after 1900 typically feature an applied pink porcelain triangle mark containing the letter D or E alongside the text Royal Dux Bohemia. Additionally, four-digit shape numbers are commonly impressed directly into the unglazed base.

A figural porcelain dish serves as a decorative accent when displayed on a wooden sideboard, a fireplace mantelpiece, or within a glass vitrine. Pairing the muted pastel tones of the porcelain with neutral background colours highlights the sculptural detail.
