The finish is exceptional with the appearance of a museum masterpiece for a fraction of the cost
Gainsborough was one of the finest English portrait and landscape painters as well as a draughtsman and printmaker.

The picture is produced on canvas and has been finished with mixed media of inks and hand embellished with oil paint and clear gesso laid on in stages and layers to produce a finish with depth, texture and realism, which is also categorised as an Oileograph often hand finished.

An oileograph traditionally was a method of mounting an high quality coloured lithograph onto real canvas in order to produce a visual finish virtually almost indistinguishable from the original museum standard old masters.
