George III Miniature Mahogany Glass Fronted Cabinet - Apprentice Piece.

18th century
Description

A charming George III miniature mahogany cabinet with a plinth cornice above a pair of glazed doors, and the lower section boasting two short and two long drawers on bracket feet.

The cabinet has some wear to the wood in places with some slight cracking to the wood evident near the top left door hinge and the lower drawer is missing its lock. The left side of the cabinet shows a small inset panel of wood which appears to be a historic repair to a wood split (please see photographs). The doors retain their original catch and open and close with ease, as do the drawers.

A lovely piece of well proportioned Georgian miniature furniture.

In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
