Description

A 19th Century Mahogany Mirror.

The mirror with a carved giltwood eagle pediment, the eagle alighting on the mahogany frame, fret cut with scrolling leaves and ears, finished to the edges with fine mould outlines. The body of the mirror with an ogee mould, surrounding gilt leaf decorated slips holding the bevelled plate. The lower edge of the mirror decorated with likewise scrolling leaves and ears, the edges enhanced with fine moulding.

Date circa 1850.
