Description

Beautiful, French Bronze sculpture ‘Cueilleur des pommes’ modelled as a young girl reaching up to pick an apple, a large basketful and some windfalls at her feet. A very rare model by Charles Octave Levy (1820-1899), signed Ch.Levy with foundry stamp ‘Bronze Garanti au Titre, Paris, LV Déposé.’ Also stamped number 1781, and numbered 1052 to underside of base.

Excellent condition throughout, superb detail, late 19th century.
