This is a plendid antique Victorian satinwood bedside cabinet, circa 1880 in date. This superb piece features attractive marquetry and shell nlaid decoration. The cabinet features a cupboard with a central shelf and is raised on elegant square tapering legs that are joined by h shaped stretchers. It is the golden yellow, lustrous, even-grained wood found in the Florida Keys and the West Indies. It has long been valued for furniture.
