Jane Short Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
All the silver parts are present .There are lots of sewing and manicure tools all with mother of pearl handles.

All the silver is engine turned and the maker is John Harris and the hallmarks are for London1866.
There is a compartment underneath the bottles and jars which is set up as a jewellery box and there is another drawer at the bottom probably for stationery,
It would have been a very expensive item when it was made as it really is top quality.
The coromandel box itself is in very good condition with no losses.
This could be a very worthwhile project.
