Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

William IV furniture, produced in Britain between 1830 and 1837, bridges the Regency and Victorian eras. It is characterized by robust proportions, fine wood veneers such as mahogany and rosewood, turned or reeded legs, and architectural restraint.

These tables were typically crafted from solid mahogany or oak frameworks with high-grade veneers. Writing surfaces were commonly lined with gilded, tool-patterned leather, and drawers featured hand-cut dovetail joints and brass castors at the leg bases.

Authentic pieces feature construction indicators such as hand-sawn drawer linings, traditional hand-cut dovetails, original brass castors, and drawers or faux drawers accessible from both opposing sides of the frame.

Position the table centrally in a study or open-plan living area to allow access from both sides. Combine the dark wood and green leather with modern task lighting, neutral wall finishes, and contemporary seating for balanced texture.

Clean timber surfaces using a soft cloth and apply a natural beeswax polish twice yearly to prevent drying. Preserve the leather inset by dusting regularly and applying a specialist leather conditioner, keeping the surface away from direct sunlight and direct heat sources.
