A very heavy and ornate piecrust salver sitting on three feet.

In the centre is an armorial crest depicting a lion holding a cross crosslet

This is the crest of the Matheson family who first appear in historic records as living in Scotland in the 15th century.

A really good piece of silver-plate which is in very good condition and no plate loss
