A large antique tapestry depicting a young man resting on a tree stump with his dog gazing into a distant landscape. The work is not dated, however the condition of the embroidery cloth and aging of stitching ( this can be seen around the edges of the fabric) would indicate early 19th century. The tapestry is not framed and the fabric is attached to its backing board and has been cellophane wrapped for protection.
