Victorian 9ct Gold Garnet, Coral And Enamel Blackamoor Ring

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Robert Harris Jewellers

A rare 9ct gold Blackamoor ring from the 1800s. This is a wonderful example of a Victorian piece of jewellery featuring a highly adorned black African male dressed in jewels, perhaps a prince or a noble. The face is gold with enamel, wearing a white enamel and gold turban set with a central garnet. Above is a gold star backed by coral. This is a highly collectable piece of very interesting art centric jewellery. A part of our antique gold ring collection.
