In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

An Edwardian silver trinket box is a small decorative container produced during the reign of King Edward VII, spanning from 1901 to 1910. These items were designed to hold small personal belongings on vanity tables and often incorporated intricate pierced or repousse scrollwork.

These boxes were predominantly crafted from hallmarked sterling silver. Silversmiths utilised techniques such as hand-piercing, chasing, repousse, and casting to create detailed openwork and relief patterns.

Authentic British pieces bear a complete set of hallmarks, including the lion passant for sterling silver, an assay office symbol, a date letter matching the 1901 to 1910 era, and a recognised makers mark.

A silver trinket box functions as a decorative focal point on a bedside table, dressing table, or vanity tray. Its metallic surface reflects light and introduces texture when grouped alongside glass or ceramic objects.

Silver pieces should be dusted regularly with a soft cloth and polished occasionally using a specialised silver cloth or non-abrasive cream. Storing the box in a low-humidity environment away from direct sunlight helps prevent rapid oxidisation.
