This is a very large French Gilt antique mirror with its original gilt finish and mercury plate dating from around 1860. The mirror is of a grand scale that is most imposing. This has its original backboards and the mirror glass is the original mercury plate which has some antique “sugaring” to the glass and a few age related marks as can be seen in the photographs.
