Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Originating in the 18th century, George III dressing table mirrors, historically known as toilet glasses, feature an adjustable rectangular or oval mirror supported on upright posts, mounted above a plinth base containing small drawers.

These mirrors were predominantly crafted from solid mahogany or mahogany veneers, frequently accented with boxwood stringing, brass adjustment knobs, and hand-dovetailed drawer construction.

Authentic period examples feature hand-cut dovetail joints on the drawers, original silvered glass displaying age-appropriate oxidisation, and turned side screws or brass fittings to alter the frame tilt.

Positioning the mirror atop a chest of drawers, console table, or dressing surface introduces historical depth and functional storage to contemporary dressing spaces.

Clean the timber components using a dry lint-free cloth and apply a natural beeswax polish sparingly to maintain the original patina, keeping the piece away from direct sunlight and moisture.
