Sir Thomas Lawrence (1769-1830) painted the portrait of the Calmady daughters, he declared it the best painting he had ever done. Indeed, it was finely executed and many other 19th century artists copied his work.

Here is a charming watercolour of Laura-Anne Calmady.

Framed in an oval gilded frame it is finely painted and quite charming.
