The arched panel icon painted with the saint on horseback trampling a winged dragon.
Housed within an integral carved and gilded gesso frame.
A pair of doors conceal the icon and have contributed to keeping the colours alive and bright.
There is very little paint loss on the icon. The frame has gilt losses which are consumate with the age of the piece.
This is a very rare and atmospheric piece.
