Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

An Atmos clock is a mechanical timepiece invented in the 1920s and developed by Swiss manufacturer Jaeger-LeCoultre. It derives energy from minute temperature and atmospheric pressure variations in the surrounding air, requiring no manual winding or electrical power.

The mechanism relies on a sealed capsule containing a mixture of gas and liquid that expands and contracts with ambient temperature fluctuations. This movement continuously winds the mainspring, driving a slowly oscillating torsion pendulum suspended inside a glass-panelled frame.

Authentic models feature serial numbers stamped on the movement top plate, specific calibre designations, precise Swiss horological hallmarks, and refined metal finishing. The dial and internal movement elements carry official manufacturer branding.

Position the clock on a flat, stable surface such as a marble mantelpiece, minimalist sideboard, or modern desk. The transparent glass construction allows light to pass through, complementing both structured mid-century environments and contemporary glass and metal interiors.

The clock must be kept completely level on a vibration-free surface and locked via its integrated mechanism before transport. Dust the exterior glass panels gently with a microfiber cloth and avoid using liquid cleaners or placing the object in direct sunlight.
