William and Mary Period Walnut Escritoire

A small proportioned and very original William and Mary period walnut fall front escritoire. Book matched veneers and herring bone cross banding through out . Moulded cornice with concealed map drawer bellow., matching moulding to the waist and foot, sat on bun feet. Good fitted interior with a selection of drawers and central cupboard; secret drawers behind some sections. Lifting leathered insert to the writing surface. Original brass ware, superb colour and original deep patina. C.1700.

Measures 3`1" wide. x 19" deep. x 5`3" tall.
