ANTIQUE #SA674639
early victorian tazza with hollow stem - CATEGORY: ANTIQUE GLASS - DATED VICTORIAN

Early Victorian Tazza With Hollow Stem

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: The Old Champagne Glass Company Ltd

This is beautiful and outstanding Tazza. We think it is from around 1840-50 but may well be earlier. A slight greyish tint and snapped pontil. Highly unusual in having a hollow stem which gives it a mildly voluptuous appearance; complemented by the sinuous wave of the lower bowl. In exceptional condition with no damage. Quite heavy to hold at 1.3kg.
