ANTIQUE #SA657238

A Fragment Of A Brass Seven-branch Candlestick - A Poignant Ww1 Relic From 'ecole De Bienfaisance'

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Culvertons

This emotive fragment of a seven-branch brass candlestick was found in 1915 in the ruins of ''Ecole de Bienfaisance on the Hooge Road, Ypres'' - its rustic oak base and inscribed brass plaque both appear to have been attached close to the time of its discovery. As you would expect it has been reduced in height, suffered losses and some damage.

Whenever possible Culvertons undertake the carriage of items within London and the home counties.
