A Very Unusual Ladies or Gentleman’s Ivory Boar Tusk Walking Cane, of outstanding quality.
 
The ''hammer'' style grip is an actual silver mounted large wild Boar ivory tusk, the plain ebony ending on a polished brass later ferrule.
 
Mark of J.H. for Silvermaker Jonathan Howell. London assay mark for 1899.
 
Condition: Good condition, nice surface patination to shaft. Replaced ferrule.
 
Length: 36.25” (92cm). Width: (of handle) 5.25” (13.25cm).
