Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco jewellery, prominent from the 1920s through the 1940s, is defined by geometric shapes, clean symmetrical lines, and architectural influence. The era shifted away from organic, flowing Art Nouveau curves in favour of bold structural forms, step-cut patterns, and contrasting metalwork.

Jewellers during this period predominantly worked with platinum and white gold to highlight the white brilliance of diamonds. Settings frequently incorporated hand-cut diamonds, including old European cuts and single cuts, held in claw or grain settings.

Authentic period pieces display period-accurate diamond cuts, such as hand-faceted old European cut stones with small table facets and open culets. Additionally, original maker marks, platinum fineness stamps, and hand-pierced or millegrain-bordered mountings assist in verification.

A geometric Art Deco ring functions as a standalone statement piece suitable for formal wear or modern minimalist tailoring. Its structured profile allows it to pair well with understated platinum or white gold bands.

Clean the piece gently using warm water, mild liquid soap, and a soft-bristled brush to remove dust from behind the settings. Professional jewellers should periodically check the security of the claws and settings to ensure long-term preservation.
