A quality substantial and elegant solid mahogany piano stool with band inlay to the side elevations, dating from the beginning of the 20th century. The stool has a rising top to provide a generous storage compartment for sheet music etc. and has the label for Glover Bros 88-90 Lower Clapton Road, London N E. Firm upholstered seat with, I understand, the original velvet fabric. Solid side supports to move the stool, no movement to any joint. The stool has always been in the same family. Dimensions: Width 57cms...22.5”, depth 41cms...16”, height 64cms...25”. Seat height 55cms....21.75”
