Dragoncharger Antiques has dated this Edwardian Circular Piano Stool to the 1900s.
Beautiful James Shoolbred rosewood piano stool with gothic style and elegance. A sturdy, stool of considerable weight for its size. Covered in probably its original fabric.
Condition is absolutely superb. Joints are solid. There have been no visible repairs to the frame and no sign of woodworm. There are some minor marks and losses (to bottom of legs only) consistent with age and use. The James Shoolbred makers label is present on the underside of the stool. There are matching numbers (No 9197) stamped on the separate pieces of the stool.
There is also a further stamped reference mark (T9050) most likely the furniture model number.
Height = 50cm (adjustable to 75cm approx).
