A BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE OF AN EARLY 18TH CENTURY MARQUETRY INLAID CHEST OF TWO SHORT OVER THREE LONG DOVETAILED OAK LINED GRADUATED DRAWERS. POLISHED TOP CROSS-BANDED IN YEW, WITH TWO TONED OYSTER VENEERS,WITH A PARTICULARLY LOVELY HEARTS AND SPIRAL PATTERN MOTIF.
 
CROSS-CUT THUMBNAIL/OGEE MOULDINGS TO TOP AND FRONTAGE, CROSS-BANDED AND OYSTER VENEERED SIDES, CROSS CUT OGEE PLINTH ABOVE LATER PERIOD BUN FEET. HONEST PERIOD 18TH CENTURY REPLACED BRASSWORK, SOLID THICK PLANKED BACK.
 
THE CHEST IS A WONDERFUL RICH GOLDEN COLOUR AND PATINATION, ALL TIMBERS/VENEERS STABLE, IN READY TO GO CONDITION. BOUGHT FROM A PRIVATE COLLECTION.
