This is a good pair of hardwood Japanese panels dating from the Meiji period, circa 1850 with a really good colour and patina.
The panels are beautifully inlaid with mother of pearl detail in the form of trees and blossoms, birds and butterflies. These are in lovely antique condition with good colour and much charm. The panels are attractively inlaid to the outer frames in a similar manner and measure 40 cms by 25 cms each.
