Wilfred Jenkins studied under John Atkinson Grimshaw and his influence is very evident in Jenkins moonlight paintings. Another student of Grimshaw''s, Walter Linsley Meegan was a contemporary of Jenkins. These artists were based in Leeds and Scarborough, but also painted all around the United Kingdom. Their work is very popular.
