This watercolour is by the Suffolk painter Frederick George Cotman (1850-1920). It is in its good original frame with a nice old label on the reverse for ''Chas. G. Smithers, Carver, Gilder, Picture Frame Maker & Printseller, 95, Leadenhall Street, London''. The picture measures 13''x 8'', including the frame 20''x 15''. It is signed lower left and is dated 1895.
