Well carved pair of small-scale pier mirrors with applied gesso decoration and 'stone' paint finish .
. The top corners and returns with classically-inspired circular carved sun-flower motifs .

The friezes with carved guilloche panels below ovolo or 'egg-and-dart' moulding .
The tapering term caryatid uprights terminating in a block with classical ramshead motifs.
The bases with stepped break-front outline and carved detail decoration.

The 'stone' painted finish having been skilfully and sympathetically refreshed at some point in the last 50 years , though of good age.
The original panelled backs enclosing old silvered mirror plates , possibly old replacements.
