This excellent BLUE & WHITE TRANSFER PRINTED SERVING PLATTER, with a distinctive scalloped edge, bears the impressed mark, a capital F and an ANCHOR, for THOMAS FELL of ST. PETER''S POTTERY, NEWCASTLE-UPON-TYNE. It dates from circa 1850.
The PLATTER is decorated with ANTIQUE SCENERY. There seems to be a possible resemblance to JEDBURGH ABBEY.
It measures 19.75 inches (50 cm) in width.
The PLATTER is in good condition. There is no restoration.
