A Philips 9 inch terrestrial globe, showing empires, steamship routes and ocean currents. It stands on an ebonised turned beechwood base. Dated accurately to 1929 as Peking is shown (name changed to Peking in 1928) and so is Constantinople (changed to Istanbul in 1930).
