Stoneware Jelly Mound Or Christmas Pudding Mould By Lovatt's From Their Langley Ware Range

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Chairman Antiques

A quite large and complete Lovett''s Langley Ware stoneware jelly or Christmas pudding mould circa 1900 - 1920 with a bunch of grapes impressed and good form. Tiny firing scratch to interior surface and tiny firing dimple to base. Good colour and pretty design in great condition.

Though marked as 1920, it is probably anywhere between 1900 and 1920. The design was popular from around 1860 up until the 1940''s. Delightful Derbyshire ceramic kitchenalia with a characteristic golden brown ironstone firing stain.

Makes a fantastic jelly!
