1948 Swaine Adeney Brigg Pig Skin & Solid Silver Purse Folio Case

This is a stunning 1948 pig skin and hallmarked silver bag, purse or folio made by Swaine Brigg the famous and collectable London makers.
 
The main body is soft pig skin leather with sold hallmarked silver fitting by George Henry James, manufacturers of fancy leather goods in Newgate Street London, who made this piece for retail by Swaine Brigg as stamped into the leather.
 
Fold over clasp to the body which has a built in flap pocket, snap top purse, stamp or card compartment, removable note pad and mirror as well as two back pockets and an elastic note book holder.
 
The bar that fixes the silver chain handle to the body of the purse is a working solid silver pencil that slides out of the fixings to be used.
 
Stunning design where they''ve thought of everything you could need.
 
Has been used and has minor signs of use as you''d expect but is in overall excellent condition. No damage, breaks, splits or repairs on any part of it.
