An early georgian oak cased 'cottage' longcase clock.c.1725.brass and silvered dial with date aperture.engraved birds to the matted centre.30 hour birdcage movement striking on a bell to the hour.moulded cornice hood with turned pillars and gilt mounts.side view windows.made by james delance of downton,wiltshire(w.1675-1736).fully overhauled.stands 79"high.

*james delance worked in frome, somerset from 1675 whre he suceeded lawrence debnam.he then moved to london 1678-85 and reports of france ther after before returning to frome.undertaking work on clocks from lord weymouth of longleat 1694-1703.by 1721 he had moved to downton where he worked until 1736.his clocks have fench feature with fine pillars also of london standard with some fine lantern clocks made.

Through our trusted international shippers we will source the most competitive quote for delivery to your door. All items are wrapped and packed by the specialist shippers.

We are happy to make initial arrangements for worldwide shipments on your behalf. However, please note that the shipping payment is made by you the customer directly with the shippers.
