Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco jewellery from the 1920s is defined by bold geometric shapes, clean lines, symmetry, and fine metalwork. Rings from this period frequently feature platinum settings, old European cut central diamonds, and geometric accent stones such as baguette or calibre cuts.

Platinum was the primary metal of choice during the Art Deco era due to its strength and ability to hold intricate die-struck and hand-carved details. Diamonds, sapphires, emeralds, and rubies were commonly set alongside detailed milgrain borders.

Authentic pieces typically feature hand-cut diamonds such as old European or mine cuts, hand-carved undergalleries, and precise milgrain work. Hallmarks indicating platinum purity or makers marks from the 1920s and 1930s also assist in verification.

Art Deco rings can be paired with a simple, slim platinum band to allow the central design to remain the focal point. Alternatively, bespoke contoured bands or vintage-style eternity rings with matching diamond cuts complement the geometric shoulders.

Clean the ring gently using warm water, mild soap, and a soft-bristled brush to remove dust beneath the mount. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, and have a jeweller inspect the claws periodically to ensure the gemstones remain secure.
