A supreme quality example of a four-fold 19th century screen in mahogany. Each of the four folds is comprised of two upholstered panels and the double-knuckle hinges allow folding through 360 degrees to enable it to be stored neatly. It is currently upholstered in different fabrics to each side – not new but in really good condition – and can easily be re-covered in a fabric of your choice. This superb screen, ideal as a room divider, a draught barrier, or as a privacy wall, is English. It dates from c.1850 – c.1875 and is in top condition. It measures 80” (2040mm) wide when stretched out in a straight line.
