A rare, small late 18th century tinder box made from oak in the shape of a heart with brass name plate of the original owner T Moreland. Brass hinges and clasp inside two compartments with a piece of gun flint and attached to the lid a piece of steel. These were used to create a spark for lighting a fire. It measures 9.5cm l x 8cm w x 2.7cm h. c1780
