Jozsef Molnar Still Life Fruit Oil Painting On Canvas

We are delighted to offer for sale this beautifully executed Still Life oil on canvas by the Hungarian artist JOZSEF MOLNAR, who has signed the painting Molnar J. in black in the lower right hand corner.
 
 
The painting depicts a display of grapes, a pear and a peach in a gilded tazza, alongside a similar tall glass flute with gilded stem, with a gilded lidded bowl to the left.
 
These items are displayed on a table with carved base with a draped and gold fringed green curtain to the right and vine leaves.
 
 
Jozsef Molnar was born in Hungary in 1939.
 
He studied at the Jozsef Attila School and well as receiving private lessons. He became the pupil of the artist Karoli Szegvary and Peter Kloton.
 
 
His work has been seen in many countries since 1950-60 and is in the manner of the Dutch Baroque painters.
 
 
FRAME
 
The painting is newly framed in a very nice ornate 3 1/2'' swept gilt frame and is ready to hang.

Frame size 38 3/8'' x 30 1/2'' - 97.5cm x 77.5cm
 
CONDITION
 
Excellent condition. There are no repairs to the canvas, no craquelure, stretcher marks or paint loss. The canvas is clean and taut. The frame is new.
