A mid georgian red walnut 8 day longcase clock made by emanuel burton of kendal.c.1765.brass & silvered engraved centre dial with rocking ship automation to the top arch.gilt spandrels to the corners.date aperture and seconds count.broken arch pediment and turned columns to the hood,repeated to the case.superb rich colour and patina.strikes on a bell to the hour.stands 82"high.
