A fine mid georgian oak cased 8 day longcase clock made by raplh clayton of marple(cheshire).c.1765.brass and silvered dial with painted scene to the centre.centre second sweep to the dead beat escapement.

Shaped top case door flanked by turned columns repeated to the caddy top hood.laquered glass panel to the moulded edge.

Canted corners to the base.standing on bracket feet.

Superb original colour and patina.full working order.
