Description

John Thirtle was a watercolour painter of the highest quality. He was born and lived his life in Norwich and is a member of the Norwich School of artists.

He was a frame maker in Norwich but found painting of more interest.

This is a typical Norwich Scene probably St Peter Mancroft. There are wonderful figure and carts through the street.

There is some fading to the sky and church which is not unusual for Thirtle.
