A very desirable late georgian 8 day longcase clock by sought after maker samuel deacon* of barton in the beans(leicestershire).c.1790.

Slim oak and mahogany crossbanded case with sheraton inlays.reeded columns and canted corners to the base.swan neck pediment hood.painted arched top dial with a rolling moon.date aperture and seconds count.strikes on a bell to the hour.full working order.stands 85"high.

*samuel deacon(1746-1816)was a famous and well writted about maker who made unusual style movements with shaped back cocks.he was also a baptist minister.his workshop still exists in the leicester museum.
