Everett William Mellor lived between 1878 and 1965. He lived in Ilkley and painted mostly around the Yorkshire and Lake District areas.
This pair of oil paintings on board are in immaculate original condition having never been out of the quality original frames. They have excellent provenance, the previous owner''s father having purchased them from Ed. L. Airey & Son, Railway Road, Blackburn (see image of label on reverse of each painting). Each painting is fully signed and each gilt mount inscribed with title and artist''s name.
Each painting measures 10''x 14'', including frame 16''x 20''.
