Antique Queen Anne Style Burr Walnut Display Cabinet

1900 - 1920
Description

Very impressive antique Queen Anne style burr walnut display cabinet with glazed doors above & two cupboards below. This cabinet is top quality with fabulous carvings all over & is in good original condition. The top section has two bevelled glass doors & sides with a polished mahogany back section plus 3 thick glass shelves. The bottom section has two burr walnut panelled cupboards with a shaped shelf inside. In the middle of this cabinet is a pull out slide which has a mirror inset. I would say it dates to around the 1920's period. I've just had it polished & it has a lovely mellow colour. There are wonderful carvings on the top & bottom sections, while the solid walnut shaped ball & claw feet are exquisite. There are also locks to both sections & there is a beautiful etched brass escutcheon on the bottom doors.

Depth - 19", 48 cm

Height - 71.5", 182 cm
